Our Journey

Rebranding costs are one of the most Googled (and most misunderstood) topics for small business owners and honestly, that makes total sense. Whether you’re a health and wellness coach in Toronto, a custom home builder in Calgary, or a personal brand growing your audience in Los Angeles, knowing what to expect before you invest is everything. So let’s break it all down, clearly and without the overwhelm. No fluff, no jargon, just real numbers and real talk for 2026.
And fair warning: your brand deserves better than a $5 Fiverr logo. Here is why.

Starting out with zero dollars and maximum determination? Totally valid. The DIY route is where so many of us begin and there is no shame in it! Tools like Canva, Squarespace, and free brand kit generators have made it more accessible than ever to throw something together and get moving.
That said, “figureoutable” (shoutout to Marie Forleo!) does not mean “free.” Your time has real value. Every hour you spend designing a logo or wrestling with a website template is an hour you are not serving clients, growing your audience, or doing the things you actually love. Keep that in mind as you scale.

This is the step most people skip and it is exactly why so many rebrands fall flat. Before you touch a single colour palette or pick a font, you need a brand strategy. Think of it as your business’s GPS: without it, you are just driving around looking pretty with no destination in mind.
According to a 2026 Forrester Research report, 68% of businesses with a documented brand consistency framework reported 10 to 20% year-over-year revenue growth. That stat alone should make you stop scrolling. A solid brand strategy helps you show up consistently whether you are posting on Instagram, pitching a corporate client in Vancouver, or launching a non-profit campaign in Michigan.

How do you want to be seen? Your visual identity is your brand’s handshake and you only get one shot at a first impression. HubSpot puts it perfectly in their Brand Style Guide Examples article:
That is not an accident; it is a strategy made visual! Whether you are a fitness coach in Ottawa, a real estate team in Arizona, or an eCommerce brand shipping across North America, your brand identity needs to do the talking before you even say a word.

Stock photos are out. YOU are in. And this is not just a design opinion because the data backs it up in a big way. A Marketing Experiments study found that visitors who saw a real photo of a business owner were 35% more likely to sign up than those who saw a stock photo. And according to a 2023 Edelman consumer trust survey, 71% of people can immediately spot stock photography on a business website and 65% said it negatively impacted how much they trusted that brand.
Let that sink in. More than half of your potential clients are landing on your website, spotting the stock photo instantly, and trusting you less for it. That is a hard pill to swallow but it is also a huge opportunity. Because the fix is simply showing up as YOU.
Branded photography is how you connect with your audience on a human level before you ever get on a call. The right images show who you are, what your business feels like, and why working with you is different. Whether it is lifestyle flat-lays that showcase your personality, polished headshots that say you mean business, or behind-the-scenes shots that make your audience feel like insiders, branded photos make everything look more intentional, more professional, and more you.

Copywriting is one of the most important investments you can make and for good reason! For instance, professional copywriting gives you that extra oomph, that polished (grammatically correct, no spelling errors) edge that influences your audience to “click here!”. It helps to sell your end goal, develop trust in your services and connect with your audience through strategic storytelling.
Copywriting also impacts your ability to rank on Google for SEO. However, I’m no SEO expert, but I do know that crafting purposeful content that targets the needs of your audience via targeted keywords will help your rankings. Use a keyword search tool like Niel Patel’s Uber Suggest to help you craft content for your webite and blog posts.
A good typical copywriting experience for a website should include:
Estimated BUDGET: $1,500 – $5,000

The sky’s the limit (depending on your budget obviously!) when it comes to your website design and development. For more of a DIY option, you can use something like Showit5 or Squarespace — no developer required and cost-effective for the budget-conscious business owner. If you have a bit more of a budget you can go with a custom-built or templated WordPress site. I offer both of these options to my clients!
Here’s what you can expect the deliverables to look like for a website design and development investment:
There are many moving pieces to having a successful website. I get tons of questions about the return on investment (ROI) of a website design. So here’s my quick response to this question! Your #1 goal is to increase your sales. Your ROI is based on your % of visitors moved to leads, your landing page conversion rates, the % of leads moved to customers, and the # of current customers subscribed to your blog/email. It’s got to have more than just a “pretty design” but a great user experience with the functionality supporting the requirements of your end goal. And most of all, it needs to capture your leads through an email opt-in to convert your audience.
Estimated BUDGET: $3,000 – $20,000

Your marketing toolbox needs to include the following:
Hiring a designer on retainer is one of best ways to streamline your marketing promotions to ensure your audience is receiving consistent, purposeful and data-driven content. Focusing on your marketing goals quarterly will allow you to stay focused, intentional and won’t leave you feeling too overwhelmed with over planning.
Estimated BUDGET: $500 – $2,000 (hire on retainer!)

In conclusion, when it comes to your baby (oops, uh, your business!), it’s hard to relinquish control for a rebrand. But let me tell you a secret — as soon as you let go and TRUST the process, real business development begins (and real revenue starts to generate!)
Hiring help is not only essential, but it’s also a pivotal turning point for your business growth. The feeling of “I can’t trust anyone else with my business!” is real. You may have been promised deliverables by a “ professional” in the past only to receive an end product that wasn’t on time, and simply didn’t work. As a business owner, I’ve experienced the same challenges – I get it! Before you leap, do your research, ensure the requirements of your project are well understood by both parties and know what the final deliverables are and when they will be delivered.
If you’re not sure where to start, let’s talk it over together on a free consultation call! I can 100% help you through this process and share my best recommendations based on your current situation — even if it may not be the right time for you to invest!
